Smart Solar is a specialist supplier of solar powered products for the home and garden from water features and fountains, to lighting, aquatics and ventilation. Our products are in contemporary, traditional and classical designs and are manufactured from a wide range of materials including terracotta, slate, ceramic and glass.
Harnessing the power of the sun, our solar powered garden features do not diminish the world’s energy resources and so meet the requirements for a greener, more eco friendly solution to practical and decorative products for the garden. With no mains wiring, solar products are simple to install and enjoy!
Smart Solar head office is just outside Oxford in the UK, with additional offices in the USA, Germany, France and China. Our products are sold through major retailers, garden centres, catalogues and e-commerce companies worldwide.
Our history
Smart Solar has grown and established itself in the solar garden market since 2004. Sales have grown continuously, reflecting the increasing demand for products powered by renewable energy. The customer base has grown every season and new sales methods and development processes have been introduced to improve ways of working for the benefit of our suppliers and customers.
Smart Solar has been responsible for significant innovation, especially in solar pump based products over the last few years. These innovations include:
• Floating solar pumps (free floating with no wires)
• Solar cascade: the original terracotta pouring cascade water feature, subsequently extending the concept moved into copper, ceramic and stainless steel
• Solar birdbath fountains: we created this concept and have now developed a range of products using this patent protected technology.
• 2-tiered fountains using integrated solar panel and pump
• Solar powered oxygen pump: provides vital air supply for ponds with fish
• Solar powered pumps with controllable battery support for evening or poor weather operation
• Decorative solar lanterns made out of glass mosaic and ceramic
